Samsung has announced that its flagship sound bar unveiled at CES 2017, the MS750 Sound+ Soundbar, is now available for $500.

The five-channel sound bar is the big brother of the MS650 that was released earlier this year, and features three wide-range tweeters, six woofers and two vertical wide-range tweeters, each with a dedicated amplifier. While the MS750 features upward-firing tweeters, it lacks the ability to play back Atmos soundtracks.

Similar to the rival Zvox SB500, the subwooferless Samsung has “Anti-Distortion Technology,” which enables the bar to go as low as a claimed 35Hz.

Samsung has designed the sound bar to integrate fully with this year’s QLED TVs via a dedicated wall-mount system, and which also includes a power socket for the TV. Using Samsung’s Smart Remote Control, the sound bar can be controlled from the TV.

Samsung also offers the optional W700 subwoofer for $700. Meanwhile Australian and UK prices and availability are yet to be confirmed but expect around AU$1000 and £500 respectively.
