Harry Potter and the Hogwarts crew are getting enhanced with some e-book magic.
The Kindle in Motion version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was released earlier this week and includes art, animations, and videos of young Harry Potter’s first year at the magical wizarding school.
Harry Potter illustrator Jim Kay is behind the interactive experience, available only through Amazon and the company’s Kindle platforms and devices. Harry Potter fan site Pottermore previewed the cover with the Hogwarts Express covered in smoke and an owl flapping its wings.
J.K. Rowling’s 1997 book is all still there, but now moving goblins, flying quidditch players, and an illustrated Diagon Alley add to the story.
This isn’t the first attempt to bring some extra magic to the fantasy books. The entire seven-part series was turned into an illustrated iBook package back in 2015.
